Privacy policy
What data we take, what we use it for and how to ask us to delete it. No fine print.
This is a courtesy translation. The Spanish version is the one that governs.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is OlvidataSoft, a software development studio run by Joaquín Bourdin, based in La Plata, province of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
For anything related to your personal data, write to olvidatasoft@gmail.com or message us on WhatsApp at +54 9 221 440-2340.
Processing is governed by Argentine Act 25.326 on the Protection of Personal Data and its supplementary regulations.
What data we collect
Only what we need in order to answer you and to do the work:
- Data you give us. When you fill in the contact form or write to us on WhatsApp or by email: name, email, phone, business name and the message you send. If we get as far as quoting or invoicing, also the tax details you provide for that purpose.
- Browsing data. In aggregate form and through third-party tools: pages viewed, time on site, where the visit came from, device and browser type, and approximate IP address. We do not build individual profiles from this.
We neither ask for nor store sensitive data (health, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, union membership or sexual life), nor credit card details.
What we use it for
- Answering your enquiry and arranging a demo or meeting.
- Preparing quotes and, if we move forward, delivering and invoicing the work.
- Providing support and announcing updates to the systems we deliver to you.
- Understanding, in aggregate, which site content works and which does not.
We do not sell, rent or hand your data to anyone so they can advertise to you. If we ever wanted to use it for something other than what this policy states, we would ask you first.
Who we share it with
Only with the providers we need in order to operate, and only with what each one needs:
- Google — site analytics and campaign measurement (Google Analytics / Google Ads).
- Meta — WhatsApp Business, when contact arrives or continues through that channel.
- Hosting and email provider — where the site and the studio mailboxes live.
Some of these providers process data on servers outside Argentina. By using them, your data may be transferred abroad under the contractual terms of each service. We may also disclose information if required to do so by a court order or a competent authority.
Google API integrations
OlvidataSoft uses Google's Business Profile APIs to manage its own business profile: contact details, hours, attributes, photos, posts and answers to questions on our own listing.
That integration authorizes a single Google account, which owns the OlvidataSoft profile. The access token is stored server-side, on our own infrastructure, and is used exclusively to operate our listing. We do not access third-party business profiles, we do not use data obtained from those APIs to train models, we neither transfer nor sell it, and we do not expose it to any other service. If we ever stop using the integration, we revoke the access and delete the token.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses first-party cookies for basic functionality and Google cookies for analytics and advertising measurement. They tell us how many people arrive, where from and what they look at — never who they are.
You can block or delete cookies from your browser settings. If you do, the site keeps working; the only thing lost is the statistics.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that did not move forward: up to 24 months from the last contact.
- Clients: for the duration of the relationship and afterwards for the period required by commercial and tax regulations.
- Analytics data: according to the retention configured in the tool, in aggregate form.
Once the period is over, we delete or anonymize it.
How we protect it
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to the systems and to the studio mailboxes is protected with strong passwords and a second factor wherever the provider allows it. Integration credentials are stored as server environment variables, never in the code or in the repository. The only people given access to the data are those who need it to do the work.
No system is infallible: if we detect an incident affecting your personal data, we notify you and involve whoever needs to be involved.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to access your data, correct it if it is wrong, update it or request its deletion, and you can also object to us continuing to write to you. An email to olvidatasoft@gmail.com is enough; we answer within the deadlines set by law (10 calendar days for access, 5 business days to correct or delete).
The data subject is entitled to exercise the right of access to their data free of charge at intervals of no less than six months, unless a legitimate interest is demonstrated, as established in article 14, subsection 3 of Act No. 25.326. The AGENCY FOR ACCESS TO PUBLIC INFORMATION, in its capacity as supervisory authority for Act No. 25.326, is empowered to handle complaints and claims filed in relation to breaches of personal data protection rules.
Data inside the systems we build
When we build or maintain a system for a client, the data that system holds (their customers, their stock, their invoicing) belongs to the client: they are the controller and we act as a service provider on their behalf and instruction.
We access that data only when needed to implement, migrate or support, to the minimum extent necessary, under confidentiality and without using it for any purpose of our own. We do not share it with other clients nor add it to our own databases.
Minors
Our services are aimed at companies and at people over 18. We do not intentionally collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has left us their data, write to us and we delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we publish the new version on this same page and update the date above. If the change is significant and we have your email through an ongoing relationship, we let you know.
Any questions about your data?
Write to olvidatasoft@gmail.com and we sort it out.
